A great flashlight for viewing wildlife! Red and green work great for catching the eyes of wildlife and insects alike. The ultraviolet (UV) allows you to see scorpions and millipedes like nobody’s business! We love these lights! We did have to learn to do some basic maintenance on them ourselves as there is a ring inside that sometimes comes loose, which then makes the switch loose, and causes the light to not work. As soon as we figured that out, and learned how to fix it, we had no problems!
We see a lot of spiders on our night walks. Wolf spiders on the ground, orb weavers in the plants, and many others in every little nook and cranny of nature. This beautifully illustrated book is a great guide to Florida spider identification, and comes in handy when trying to figure out what you’ve found, out of Florida’s 900 or so species.
This is, hands down, the best camera we’ve ever owned. It really is tough and has taken a lot of abuse in the year since we’ve owned it. It’s been dunked in the water, dropped a couple of times (though not on anything rock hard), and still it takes great pictures and remains waterproof. In fact, we have to remember to rinse it out sometimes in the sink to make sure sand, grit and salt from the ocean are not a problem. But that tells you how well used this thing is!
This bottle keeps water cold for days, and is a great container for waterways where disposables aren’t allowed. We love these bottles! They have other colors as well!
